My Bliss...... A joy that knows no bounds!

Why My Bliss?

Now for the Truth, I wanted to name this section Yoga, alas, I bet nobody would have even cared a click on that link, not even by the slip of the mouse click would someone want to enter this section.
So got a flash in my mind to name it more appropriate as My Bliss, its how I am and the ecstatic joy am currently in, is all because of Yoga, so this sounded more appropriate to me.

Now a little Background...

The very word Yoga brings a lil frown people face, Pause, this guy said he is a gleaming young guy around the 20s+ and the fotos show him young, but why is he talking oldies stuff? is the impression that everyone get on glancing upon this enticing word.

It was way back in 1994, I was out of 12th grade and waiting for the results of the entrance exams, had a lot of time to do little nothings.
One of my mom's friend, as a casual talk was explaining about Yoga and about Jaggi Vasudev and his work on self realization, just walked through and she asked me why don't you enrol in it, and as anybody else at the peak of Teenage musings, my immediate answer to the very word Yoga was NO!, I still have lot more years for that......and just didn't bother about it and just walked past.

My mom knows better, she by luck or a coincidence or an intention to make her son do something useful enrolled me for the 13 day course called "Sahajha Sthithi Yoga", with much hesitation and small wordy fights, I decided to at least accompany her, she has already paid the money and I had to go, I have made up my mind, am going.

The first day of the course, myself with my mom and her friends went to the place where the course was held, it was in Chetpet in Chennai, some 20 mins from my home.
Went there and I saw my teacher, he was Swaminathan, around the age of 50+, and most of them over there were all above 35+ at least, I just thought for a moment, what am I doing here and no one of my age at least, felt like an odd man out there, but decided to see what's all with this, at least am not going to lose anything.

The course started with breathing exercise and a short discourse/speech on life and self realization, this is when I started to enjoy slowly day by day and started getting involved in it.
The discourses were very simple, plain and rooted to the base reality, very sharp and attacks the basic point of living ones life to the best.
After this 13 day programme, it was a totally transforming experience with an excellent tool to use, I meant the Pranayam and the "Shoonya" meditation.
It was then I realized how big a blunder it would have been, if I had objected to my mom's decision and failed to attend the so called Yoga class!, haa, now the very thought of having not attended this, sends a sharp chill down my spine.....

So here is My Bliss......

Am in my current state of mind, happy always and in bliss is due to the various programs that I have attended in Isha yoga and has helped me realize the inner self and raise my consciousness to a subtle level of understanding.

I simply could not gaze at any human being like the way I did before I attended any of these programmes. I am moved to tears even when I look at someone long enough. Idiotic Sentimentality I would have concluded some days ago. It is not that I am crying; it is just that I am so full of acceptance for the other person. So full of joy. It is as if you really felt that the person you are seeing is having a handful of you and you have a handful of him. Insane right? I concur. But I don’t care if this sounds insane to the logical mind. This gives me so much joy and makes a lot of stuff so effortless.

Jaggi always says : “I want you to stop looking up for divinity and start looking at yourself and revere it as the Divine.” How can a person act irresponsible to him when he truly tastes his divine nature? I think it is little difficult for him to do that. That is you cannot but do good to yourself if you really feel that you are a part of something divine. Similarly you can’t do anything stupid to some other person when in your experience you feel that what is in you is not very different from what is in him.

I once again invite all of you to allow yourself touched by this Grace. You need not conform to any belief. You can be a complete sceptic and attend the first Isha Yoga program. In fact I know a lot of people who are reading this might want to prove what I am doing is bullshit. I heartily invite all these people whoever they are to prove me wrong. But first they have to attend the Isha Yoga program to know what it is before they start any debate. It is my hope that this Grace will touch you too.

Read below on the people, place and the Environment that contributed to all this.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

During our days the crowd was less and Isha yoga was just established and Jaggi would be a part of every activity with us during the classes, we were very fortunate to have him as our Guru.
His talk is very simple, plain, easy to understand and obviously sincere, this man talks sense and is very much rooted to real life, no imaginations, no fancy stories, no makeovers, just plain truth about you and only you in simple to understand facts, you need to experience his bliss, am lost of words to provide any more explanations about Jaggi. Know more about this Enlightened being, click on the heading link.

Who is a Guru

Jaggi says, Guru is a person who does not support your ego, whenever you are with him, you feel some kind of uneasiness and you want to run away from that very place and person, but somehow something forces you to go back to the very place, whenever you feel very happy with someone, then he is supporting your ego, but a Guru is one who shatters your ego to pieces and still you long to be with him.
Jaggi is a real living guru with clarity of thought and as sharp as a razor.

Now What is Yoga

The word Yoga does not mean stretching and twisting your body in unimaginable ways with so many complications.
As Jaggi always says Yoga literally means "Union", When you experience everything as a part of yourself, then you are in yoga.
When you are not able to control yourself or be joyous inside, how do u expect the world around you to be joyous and palpable to your feelings.
